I'm glad that YouTube gets $1.6 billion for hosting every possible video on Earth. But I consider myself an editor, saving you time by eliminating the chaff to provide you with a mere few hundred kernels of excellence. Here is what I believe to be the funniest video clips around, many of which are commercials. (Who else can afford to spend millions for a few seconds of video?)

You probably know this, but if you left-click a link you'll see it on your default video player. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, it may be jerky or ragged. But if you right-click the link and choose "Save Target As..." or something similar from the menu, you will download it to your hard drive. Once it is saved to your hard drive, it will play much more smoothly from there.

If your browser has trouble displaying a video (e. g., it appears as gibberish text instead of video), try saving it to your hard drive first and then playing it from there. If it still doesn't work, it's usually easiest just to update your player.

Most of these are WMV and play in Windows Media Player. You can find the latest updates here.

Some are MOVs and play in Apple's QuickTime Player. The latest update is here but you'll have to look hard to find the free player. (It does still exist.)

A few are FLVs and require a Flash movie player. There are many free ones available but I know the one here works well.
